Real people put face on workforce development

Technologies in Thomasville has been nominated for the Governor’s Award
for Outstanding Workforce Development Employer. Livengood said the
company “walks the talk” as she presented the award to Jim Zoretich,
company president. “They
have been a champion in workforce development,” she said, noting they
have participated in the agency’s incumbent worker grant programs for
training existing employees, recruit and post positions through the
JobLink system and participate in the summer youth program.
“They’re also very community minded,” she said, noting the company’s
support for Communities in Schools, Victory Junction and other causes.
